Random Pictures

Here are a few pictures from my life lately.

Our friend Amanda was in from Virginia, so we all went over to Katie's house and had a big ol' sleepover. It was good times... And Damian said something in the middle of the night about finger foods in the frozen section and did you bring your fingers? Because the finger food aisle is in the furnmgmhhghdjda...

Then we got up in the morning and Damian made crepes, Katie made Mamosoas, and I made eggs and toast. After that, we rehauled the kitchen, moving the dishwasher etc... it was a very relaxed, and a very productive day at the same time.

Damian bought Rachel and I a flower bulb for Christmas, this is a photo of the flowers that ended up blooming from the bulb. They were very pretty. We ended up getting six of these great big red flowers. It was a neat gift.

This is a picture of one of my new favorite meals, Stuffed Pork Chops and rice. They are so easy to do, all you have to do is crush up some garlic bread crumbs into an egg, and then stick the mushy stuff into the pork chop. Yummmmm....

The pretty flower is called Amaryllis, and your's is particularly beautiful. After the flower dies, continue to feel the plant so it gives a lot of nurishment to the bulb. At the end of the summer, quit watering it. Once it is dry and dying, cut the stem off, put it in a brown paper bag, and put it in the refrigerator. November 1st, put it in a pot of dirt, and start watering it again. Each year the Amaryllis is larger and more beautiful. They are sometimes called Heirloom plant because they are passed down from generation to generation.

ahhhh... I did not mean "feel" the plant. I meant FEED the plant. Of course, you are welcome to feel it if you want. After all, it is your plant. But, there are probably other things that are more interesting to feel.

oh geeez. Whatever is Jimbo going to do with me telling you to feel the plant so it gives a lot of nourishment to the bulb? I'm really, really sorry.

Work is GREAT!! People are wonderful, job is interesting. Drive stinks, but I like BEING downtown again. (I just don't like GOING downtown.)

Downstairs in the Galleria there is an exhibit of paintings that were Pink Floyd album covers. Very cool.
