Song List

So, Rachel and I are not using a DJ for the wedding for two reasons:

1. They are too expensive.

2. Almost every DJ I know now, is using priated music. That bugs me.

Instead, we are going to just make a playlist of songs to play at the reception, and we're going to power it through some speakers. I am buying songs off of iTunes, and putting together a whole list that will be fun to dance to. I would welcome any suggestions you guys might have. Some blasts from the past would be nice, but I'm more looking to get a dance party together. I don't want to play "YMCA" and "We are Family" and "The Electric Slide" and all that crap.

I would love to put in some songs that were featured at any of our house dance parties on 17th Street, if anyone can remember any...

Anyway... any ideas?

"Beautiful Day" Although I don't know if we can re-create the dance of 3 lonely guys on a lonely 17th street on a lonely Christmas break. Priceless. Actually not priceless at all it would only cost you 9 billion dollars to re-create the moment.

didn't Jason oldaker do the music at your guys' 17th street parties? Does he still have any of it? I don't know... I never really learned to "creatively move". I am so bummed, Josh! I can't make it to your wedding! Don't hate me though!! I have a class that is only offered once a year for my concentration, and next year I was hoping on doing my practicum at that time! It sounds like you guys are going to have a lot of fun though

Kate: I'll see if I can work some Metallica in there.

E: Beautiful Day is already in there. And, I laughed OUT LOUD in the coffee shop with a bunch of strangers on the couch next to me when I read your comment. "Nine hundredy billiondy dollars!!!"

Al: Sorry you can't come! That's a bummer, but I totally understand. Jay DJd a few of those things, but usually it was just whoever didn't feel like dancing would sit behind the table and spin da records. (Sorta.) Though, we did use a lot of Jay's music... maybe he would have a suggestion...

Jay: Too bad you don't ever check my blog. Dang.
